Excellent Adhesion

Excellent Adhesion

Gun-applied foam adheres strongly to most surfaces, including concrete, wood, plaster, and insulation boards; it exhibits high adhesion upon application. Adhesion may be poor on surfactant-based surfaces such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and PTFE.

Ozone Safe

Ozone Safe

Current spray-applied foam formulations are produced with propellants that do not contain CFC/HCFCs, which harm the ozone layer; this reduces environmental impact while maintaining insulation performance.

Easy to Use

Easy to Use

Application with a spray gun ensures controlled dosing and low expansion; filling the gap gradually and cleaning after the excess dries gives the best results. Professional spray gun use provides both speed and precision.

What is spray-applied foam?

Gun-applied foam is a single-component, polyurethane-based, expanding, gap-filling building material. Because it is applied with a gun, the foam's output speed can be controlled, resulting in a cleaner and more precise application. It is frequently preferred for door and window installations, filling wall voids, and in areas requiring thermal insulation. Upon contact with air, it expands and hardens, transforming into a durable structure that lasts for a long time.

Spray Gun Foam Properties

  • Strong adhesion: Provides high adhesion to many surfaces such as wood, concrete, brick, metal and drywall. Adhesion performance is further enhanced when the surface is clean.
  • Low expansion control: Thanks to the spray gun, the foam spreads more controllably and fills gaps without overflowing. It reduces frame deformation in door and window installations.
  • Durable construction: After curing, it hardens and retains its shape against impacts and surface movements. It is a reliable solution for long-term insulation.
  • Heat and sound insulation: Thanks to its porous structure, it reduces heat loss and attenuates sounds coming through the gaps. It contributes to energy efficiency.
  • Easy to use: The gun-type system offers convenient operation for both professionals and hobbyists. The amount of foam can be adjusted as desired.
  • Ozone-safe content: Most modern spray foams do not contain older generation gases that harm the ozone layer. They stand out as a more environmentally friendly building material.

Applications of Spray Foam

  1. Door and window installation
It fills the gaps between the frame and the wall, providing both thermal and airtightness. Its low-expansion design reduces the risk of deformation.
  2. Closing wall and ceiling openings
Cable trays, pipe penetrations, cracks, and deep voids can be quickly filled with foam applied using a gun. After curing, it can be cut and shaped.
  3. Heat and sound insulation
It provides effective insulation in attic spaces, basement walls, and areas where cold air can enter. Filling these gaps significantly reduces thermal bridges.
  4. Assembly and gluing processes
Insulation boards, panels, moldings, or various building elements can be both glued and fixed using foam applied with a gun.
  5. Roof and exterior details
It is used to prevent airflow in gaps under roof tiles, cracks, facade joints, and windy areas. Correct application ensures a long-lasting seal.

Tips for Applying Foam with a Spray Gun

  • Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
  • Because foam reacts to moisture, slightly moistening the surface will make the filling more effective.
  • Adhesion may be poor on some plastic surfaces; a small test area should be tried if necessary.
  • After application, excess foam can be trimmed and trimmed once it has completely dried.
  • Using a professional foam gun offers both precise and more economical application.

Frequently Asked Questions

We've answered your frequently asked questions about spray foam.

For applications such as door and window installation, filling wall cavities, heat and sound insulation, and panel and board installation, gun-applied foam offers a fast, durable, and practical solution.

The surface must be clean and dry, and foam is applied to the gaps using a foam gun. Excess foam can be trimmed and shaped after application. Controlled gun use prevents overflow and ensures a smooth fill.

Standard spray-on foam offers limited resistance to water. For long-lasting use in wet areas or on exterior surfaces, specially formulated, water-resistant polyurethane foam should be preferred.

Gun-applied foam adheres perfectly to many surfaces, including wood, concrete, brick, drywall, and metal. It can be safely used in applications such as gap filling, door and window installation, and insulation.

Spray-on foam provides rapid surface drying depending on ambient temperature and humidity. Touch dry is generally achieved within 10–20 minutes. Full hardening and curing time is approximately 24 hours.
